Can I bring my own alcohol?
Yes, you can. However, you must add on our bartender package to do this. No alcohol is permitted during underage events such as a Quiceanera/Sweet 16.
Do you allow hard alcohol?
No, we allow beer, wine, and champagne only. Kegs are permitted as well as bottles but all must be poured into cups. Cups and Ice are included in the bartender package.
Can I supply my own food?
For your safety and the safety of your guests, we require that you hire a professional and licensed off-site caterer from our list of caterers. The catering staff is also your event staff and are required to remain until the end of your event.
Do you supply linens and place settings?
Linens and place settings are included in both our packages and range from simple to elegant.
How much is parking?
Parking is free
How late can the party go?
All music must end no later than 10:00 pm. There are no exceptions. Premises must be vacated by 11:00 pm.
Do you allow bands ?
Yes, however, before contracting with any entertainment provider they must be approved by ORS.
Is a Wedding Coordinator included?
The Old Richland Schoolhouse has a Wedding Coordinator available to assist you by providing vendor referrals, running rehearsal, running ceremony, vendor management for the day of, and all the personalized decorating and detail to ensure your vision is captured. There is an additional charge for the Coordinator pricing is discussed during consultation..
Is there a discount for Sunday ? Friday and off-season events?
Yes. There is special pricing for this please call for pricing..
How do I reserve my date ?
A non-refundable payment of $1000 along with a signed contract will secure your date.

Facility Requirements
Usage Areas/Times: Client shall have the exclusive right during the agreement period to use the designated areas of The Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion specified hereinabove, provided Client, all guests and vendors will comply with the policies, rules and regulations set forth by Provider with respect to the use of the facilities.
Security Deposit: The security deposit set forth in the aforesaid Requirements for use of The Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion, is intended to pay for excessive cleanup or unauthorized use of facility and restoration and/or repair of any defacement or damage to the facility, its furniture, equipment or landscaping. Provider shall, within thirty (30) days after the event, or as soon thereafter as possible, provide Client with an itemized statement of any additional charges to be applied against the security deposit and, if appropriate, a check for the refundable portion of the deposit. Provider or its agent shall be the sole judge of condition of facility, furniture, equipment and landscaping.
Safety Procedures/Regulations: The driveway and access to the facility by fire and other emergency vehicles shall not be blocked or obstructed. Furnishings, equipment and utilities of the facility shall be used only in a normal and reasonable manner.
Food/Beverage Service: Food and beverage service shall be provided by a licensed insured caterer chosen by Client and approved by Provider. Provider requires proof on insurance and licensing sixty (60) days prior to the scheduled event. Caterer must agree to comply with Instructions for all Caterers, attached hereto and mad a part hereof. Client agrees to comply with the aforesaid Requirements for Use of The Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion.
Cleanup: All trash and debris brought to The Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion or created by the Client or its guests shall be placed in trash bags furnished by Client, and deposited in the exterior dumpster. Client shall remove from the premises all appliances, utensils, equipment and unused food and beverages brought by Client and/or its guests to the facility. Provider is not responsible for any lost or mislaid property left on the premises by Client or its guests after the contract period.
Compliance with Laws: Client and guests shall comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations of federal, state, county or city entities.
Licenses/Permits: Client shall obtain any additional licenses and/or permits required by federal, state, county or city law and furnish a copy to the Provider at least ten (10) days prior to the event.
Compliance by Guests: Client shall ensure invitees comply with applicable terms of the Agreement.
Right of Entry: Provider may have a representative on the premises during all events. Provider representative and officers shall have the right to enter the hired premises at any time to inspect the premises and ensure compliance with this Agreement.
Ejection of Disorderly Person: The Provider shall have the right to request Client to remove and eject from the facility any invitee or guest of the Client or any person present at the Client’s event whose conduct is objectionable, disorderly or in violation of any law or of this Agreement. In the event patron refuses or is unable to remove or eject an objectionable person. Provider’s representative shall have the right to remove and eject such disorderly person. In the event the representative of the Provider determines in his/her sole discretion, that Client or any invitee or guest of Client or person present at the event constitutes a serious risk of injury to person or damage to property, the representative may immediately terminate the event.
Rules and Conditions
Cancellations: In the event of a cancellation for any reason, any deposit and paid amounts are non-refundable and non-transferable. If cancellation occurs within sixty (60) days of the event, the balance due of the event is due and payable in full. Notification of cancellation or changes MUST be made in writing. The Provider also retains the right to revoke permission to use the facilities when, in its sole judgment, the event could/would jeopardize the facility, in such an instance, as much notification as possible will be provided and all fees will be refunded.
Delivery & Pick Up: All displays, exhibits, decorations, equipment and musicians must enter and exit the premises through the delivery entrance. Delivery and pick up times must be coordinated with the Provider in advance. All property belonging to Client, Client’s guests, caterer, and other persons and services hired by Client must be removed immediately following the conclusion of the event.
Event Hours: Normal hours for Saturday and Sunday events are scheduled between eleven (11) a.m. and ten (10) p.m. Normal hours for Monday – Friday events are scheduled between four (4) p.m. and ten (10) p.m. Events may be scheduled outside of these hours only with the approval of the Provider. Events scheduled outside of these hours may be subject to additional fees. Rehearsal times/days are based on availability and are scheduled thirty (30) days prior to the event date. Tear down must be completed by eleven (11) p.m. Note: these are event times, not set up/tear down times.
Shoes: Shoes must be worn at all times.
Displays and Decorations: The throwing or use for decoration of rice, birdseed, confetti, glitter or the use of “Silly String” is strictly prohibited on the grounds and in the facilities, including walkway and parking areas. Nails are strictly prohibited for hanging of signs and decorations. Subject to loss of entire deposit. All decorations must receive prior written approval of Provider and include arrangement for time of removal one week prior to the event. Use of helium balloons MUST be cleared with the Provider.
Parking: Parking onsite is free. Large parties should consider valet service. Ask site manager for details.
Outside Services: Provider and it’s associates neither warrants nor guarantees any outside services or items contracted by or provided to the Client. Client assumes full responsibility, or incident of control, warranty or guarantee. The Client or services hired by the Client will not hold the Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion responsible for injuries or accidents occurring on the Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion property. Client is responsible for ensuring that all subcontracted persons review and comply with Provider Rules and Conditions outlined herein.
Alcoholic Beverages: Alcoholic beverages may be consumed at the Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion. Alcoholic beverages shall not be purchased or brought into the Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion by any persons other than the contracted client responsible for the activity, a caterer with an alcoholic beverage license or beverage service. Alcoholic beverages are not to be consumed outside the designated rental venue. Alcoholic beverage service consumption is strictly limited to the times outlined in the contract.
Force Majeure: If for any reason beyond its control, but not limited to strike, labor dispute, accident, act of war, act of God, fire, flood or other emergency condition, the Provider is unable to perform its obligations under this Agreement, such non-performance is excused and the Provider may terminate this Agreement without further liability of any nature, upon return of the Client’s deposit. In no event shall the Provider be liable for consequential damages of any nature for any reason whatsoever.
Smoking and Fire Ordinance: All fire ordinances must be obeyed at all times. No smoking is allowed inside the event Pavilion, restrooms or any interior location. No sparklers or fireworks of any kind are permitted.
Entertainment: All forms of entertainment are subject to approval by the Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion. All bands must contact Event Site Manager to receive our power information grid and to ensure proper placement of equipment. The Provider is not responsible if loss of power occurs due to overloading of the circuits. Bands and DJs are not to exceed our maximum decibel and will obey Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion’s request to reduce volume.
Security: The Old Richland Schoolhouse and Tent Pavilion staff and onsite security guard are fully authorized to enforce these conditions. We will be onsite during the event and reserve the right to ask any disrespectful or disorderly Client or guest to leave the premises. It is the Client’s responsibility to hire additional security to enforce a guest list, patrol the parking lot, or maintain crowd control.
